16-0720 v2.1/Embodied Carbon Offset

Are TerraPass Wind, 100% Green-e Wind RECs acceptable for meeting the embodied carbon footprint offset requirement of Imperative 12, LBC v2.1?  If not, can you refer me to an acceptable program?

I've calculated the carbon offset requirement for our project at 308 tons.  The best Green-e certified renewable energy program I can find is through TerraPass.  The EPA carbon equivalency calculator equates 310 tons CO2 with 400,000 kilowatt hours of electricity.

1 Renewable Energy Certificate (REC) = 1 megawatt-hour (MWh) or 1000 kilowatt-hours of
renewable electricity.
TerraPass Wind, 100% Green-e Wind RECs

RECs purchased from TerraPass are certified by Green-e Energy.
You’ll receive a product content label (PCL) with your order.

The purchase of RECs from any provider does not meet the intent of this Imperative. Only Certified Emission Reduction (CER) and Verified Emission Reduction (VER) carbon offsets are allowed.  Please refer to the v2.1 Materials Petal Handbook (MPH p14) for more information about selecting and purchasing offsets.
Note that Green-e Energy certified is not the same as Green-e Climate certified. Green-e Climate certified carbon offsets are acceptable and available from TerraPass as well as a variety of other providers.
