Can I earn General Credit for reading Ecotone books?

If you're a Living Future Member, then yes! As a Living Future Member, you have the opportunity to read books from the Ecotone Bookstore and participate in the members-only Book Club to earn General Credit toward your LFA. 

How many credits can I earn for reading an Ecotone book?

Living Future Members can earn 3 General Credits per Ecotone book read and discussed in the members-only Book Club.

How much do Ecotone books cost?

The cost of an individual Ecotone book (including both hard copy and digital downloads) generally ranges from $5-$50 USD — but don't forget to check out our bookstore sales!

How do I report credits earned for reading Ecotone books toward my LFA?

Living Future Members should follow these instructions to self-report credit for their Ecotone reading:

1. Log into your Education Dashboard (if you're not able to log in, try our troubleshooting instructions).
2. Click the "Self-Reporting" button.
3. Select "Ecotone - I read an Ecotone book."
4. Find your book and click "Enroll." 
5. The "Enroll" button will turn into a "Start" button. Click "Start."
6. You will see two modules. The first module will take you to the Ecotone Bookstore, where you can purchase your book if you have not done so already. The second module will take you to the Book Club, where you must write or respond to a post in order to earn 3 General Credits. You will need to sign into your Member Dashboard in order to access the Book Club. 

Do I need to participate in the Book Club to earn credit for reading Ecotone books?

Yes — you will need to participate in the members-only Book Club to earn General Credit for reading Ecotone books. This is because all credit-earning activities must incorporate an interactive component by which we can evaluate a learner's understanding of the material.

I'm not a Living Future Member — can I still earn credit for reading Ecotone books? 

The ability to earn General Credit for reading Ecotone books is a special benefit for our Living Future Members. Without membership, you will be unable to participate in the Book Club (which is mandatory for receiving credit).
