Quick Guide | Reporting Credit for work on a Living Future Project/Label

Can I earn General Credit for work or audit experience on a Living Future project or label?

Yes! Your experience working on or auditing a registered Living Future project or label can absolutely be counted as General Credit toward your LFA.

What types of projects/labels qualify for LFA General Credit?

Your work is eligible for credit if the project or label is registered under any of the following Living Future programs

  • Core Green Building Certification
  • Declare Label
  • Living Building Challenge (LBC) Certification — including Petal Certification & the Living Building Pilot Program
  • Living Community Challenge (LCC) Certification
  • Living Product Challenge (LPC) Certification
  • Just Label
  • Reveal Label
  • Zero Carbon (ZC) Certification
  • Zero Energy (ZE) Certification

Does my project/label need to be certified in order for me to earn LFA General Credit?

No, the project/label only needs to be registered.

Reach Out: If you spent time on a project/label that was never registered, reach out to LFA@living-future.org with a description of your work. Your work may still be eligible for General Credit toward your LFA.

How many credits can I earn from working on or auditing a Living Future project/label?

You can potentially fulfill the entire General Education requirement through work experience. We award 8 General Credits per project/label per year.
