Zero Carbon Pilot Registration Guide
Follow this guide to apply for Living Future's Zero Carbon Pilot. Please note that Living Future will not be able to accept all projects that apply into the Pilot. You'll need to review the Zero Carbon Pilot program requirements and the Zero Carbon Pilot Registration Terms and Conditions before completing your application.
- Become a Professional Member
- Create an account in Portal or log into your existing account
- Go to the Programs page and find the Zero Carbon Pilot program
- Create an application
- Fill out the Zero Carbon Pilot application
- Submit your application
- If accepted, provide invoicing information
1. Become a Professional Member
One person from your organization or project team will need an active Professional Living Future Membership ($250 USD/year) to register the project via the project Portal.
2. Create an account in Portal or log into your existing account
Sign into Portal directly using this link, or follow these instructions to create an account. NOTE: the Living Future Portal and Living Future Community are separate logins with separate credentials. We encourage members to use the same credentials across all Living Future platforms to minimize confusion.
3. Go to the Programs page and find the Zero Carbon Pilot program
Once in Portal, select View Programs or the Programs tab to see the programs offered.
This will take you to the Programs page:
Under the Zero Carbon Pilot section, click More:
Click Apply:
4. Create an application
Enter your project’s name and click Create Application.
5. Fill out the Zero Carbon Pilot Application
Under Your tasks, click on the Zero Carbon Pilot Application.
Fill out the Zero Carbon Pilot Application information. While almost all fields are required, the information in the application form can be edited later by Living Future staff, if necessary. If you do not know exact dates because your project is early in its lifecycle or post-construction, fill in these fields to the best of your ability.
6. Submit your application
Please note that the Zero Carbon Pilot Application is incomplete until you click Mark As Complete at the end of the application.
You will receive a confirmation email when the application has been submitted. Living Future will review your application and notify you via email if your project has been accepted into the Pilot. Please note that not all projects that apply will be accepted. If you have any questions, please reach out to special.projects@living-future.org.
7. If accepted, provide invoicing information
If your project is accepted into the Pilot, you’ll receive an email from noreply@mail.smapply.net requesting that you provide your invoicing information.
Access your Project in Portal. You will now be able to see a task called Invoicing Information. Click into the task to edit.
When you’ve finished filling out the task, click Mark as Complete.
Living Future will issue your invoice in 2-3 business days. Once the invoice is paid, your application will be moved to documentation submission.
