NEW: Education Platform Migration
On April 1, 2025 through April 30, 2025, Living Future courses and certificates will be migrated to a new education platform. Here's what you need to know:
What is the education platform?
You may know it as the "Education Dashboard." Living Future uses a learning management system (LMS) to host courses and certificates and manage our learners. On March 31/April 1, we retired our old LMS and began using a new one.
Why is Living Future making this change?
This change will help us better serve our community. The new platform will allow us to enhance our educational offerings, provide more flexibility in how we deliver content, and improve your learning experience. It will also ensure that we can continue providing high-quality education while maintaining the financial sustainability needed to support our mission as a non-profit.
We know updates like this can be challenging to navigate, and are incredibly grateful for your patience and understanding as our small but dedicated team works hard to make this transition as seamless as possible. It’s a new chapter for Living Future education, and we can’t wait for you to experience what’s ahead!
How do I access my existing coursework during the migration?
Starting on April 1, there will be temporary interruptions in course access as we work to migrate learner data into the new platform.
Here’s the timeline for reinstating your access:
- By April 15: You will receive an email invitation to the new platform to access any certificates you enrolled in on or after January 1, 2024. This includes Living Future Accreditation (LFA), the Living Building Challenge Certificate, and the Foundations of Biophilic Design Certificate.
- By May 1: You will receive an invitation to the new platform to access any individual courses (courses not belonging to a certificate) you enrolled in on or after January 1, 2024.
Once in the new platform, you will have a full year (until April 2026) to complete your migrated coursework. Please note that certificates and individual courses enrolled in prior to January 1, 2024 will not be migrated to the new platform.
Any questions or concerns? Our door is always open! Reach out to education@living-future.org.
How can I download a certificate of completion for a previously completed course or certificate?
Rest assured we have all your course history from the old platform archived! If you want a transcript of your previous coursework, or if you need a certificate of completion for a particular course or certificate, just send an email to education@living-future.org. We're always happy to provide documentation upon request.
How do I enroll in new coursework during the migration?
To facilitate the migration of our course and learner data to the new platform, we have temporarily closed all coursework except Living Future Accreditation (LFA) to new enrollees.

Subject: IMPORTANT - Upcoming Platform Migration & Course Access Interruption
Dear valued learner,
We’re reaching out with an important update on our education platform migration. In February, we began working in the background to migrate content. This month, we have some action items for you (keep reading, please), and next month, we’ll welcome you into the new platform!
What to Do Before March 31st:
1. Download Your Course Certificates
Starting April 1st, you’ll no longer be able to download certificates of completion from the old platform (the “Education Dashboard”). You can always email us to request a copy, but to ensure you have what you need, please:
- Log into the Education Dashboard
- Navigate to your Transcript
- Click the ‘Download’ button next to each certificate
2. Download Your Transcript
While we are making every effort to preserve your course history, we recommend saving a copy for your own records:
- Log into the Education Dashboard
- Navigate to your Transcript
- Click the ‘Print Transcript’ button at the top
Platform Migration Timeline & Course Access:
- April 1 - 15: Certificates (LFA, the Living Building Challenge Certificate, or the Foundations of Biophilic Design Certificate) enrolled in on or after January 1, 2024 will be migrated. You will temporarily lose access to these during this time. If this impacts your learning plan, please let us know as soon as possible at education@iving-future.org. You’ll receive an invitation to the new platform by April 15th.
- April 1- May 1: Individual courses (courses not belonging to a certificate) enrolled in on or after January 1, 2024 will be migrated. You will temporarily lose access to these during this time. If this impacts your learning plan, please let us know as soon as possible at education@living-future.org. You’ll receive an invitation to the new platform by May 1st.
- Certificates or individual courses enrolled in prior to January 1, 2024 will not be migrated.
- Once in the new platform, you’ll have a full year (until April 2026) to complete your migrated coursework.
Transitions like this can be tricky, and your patience is truly appreciated as we work hard to make this as smooth as possible. If you have questions or concerns, feel free to reach out to us any time at education@living-future.org– we’re happy to help.
This migration marks an exciting new chapter for Living Future Education, and there’s a lot to look forward to! When it’s time to join the new platform, you’ll hear from us again with your invitation.
Thanks so much,
Brittney & Ava
