Transit Subsidies for Owner Occupied Multi-family Housing
For an owner-occupied multi-family project, the transit subsidy requirement can be satisfied through a one-time, one-month (i.e. 40 rides minimum) public transit pass, or equivalent, given to the new owner of each dwelling unit at the time of purchase. This is only required for the first homeowner of the dwelling unit; subsequent sales are exempt. Note that equivalent compensation to facilitate human-powered transportation, such as a gift card or repayment for bicycle rentals or maintenance, is acceptable as an alternative to a public transit pass.
