QUESTION

Are Canadian Land Trust Alliance Standards and Practices (CaLTA S&P) considered equivalent to the US Land Trust Alliance Standards and Practices (USLTA S&P)? If so, through that equivalence, are land trusts that are members of and/or accredited by the CALTA acceptable for Imperative 03, Habitat Exchange, for Living Building Challenge (LBC) projects?

Yes, the Canadian Land Trust Alliance Standards & Practices (CaLTA S&P) are under license from the USLTA and are updated accordingly, therefore they are considered equivalent to the USLTA S&P and land trusts that are members of, or accredited by the CaLTA are acceptable as a stewardship organization under I-03, Habitat Exchange under the LBC.
