Whether or not the attached contaminant test methods provided by a test company meets the requirements of the AQ test, for some mentioned methods are not consistent with the United States Environmental Protection Agency's Compendium of Methods for the Determination of Air Pollutants in Indoor Air.


The test methods identified in items 1, 5, and 6 (as labeled in the attached) are acceptable methods for indoor air quality testing.
Items 2 and 3 (PM10 and PM2.5, respectively) identify a measurement device that uses light scatter to measure particulate matter concentration. ILFI will consider light scatter devices an acceptable equivalent for measuring particulate matter concentration if the light scatter device is of sufficient quality to provide accurate results. In this case, the TSI 8532 is of sufficient quality and can therefore be used to measure PM10 and PM2.5 concentrations. Teams may use other devices only if approved by ILFI through the Dialogue.
Item 4 (ozone) identifies GB/T 18204 as a potential test method. Both GB/T 18204 and GB/T 15438 are acceptable test methods for ozone when using an electrochemical measurement device.
